Beginning in June 2019, I began working with The Black Ties to establish their brand and presentation as a Motion Graphics Designer & Digital Media Designer. All the projects developed with the band are listed below in chronological order. 

SHIMMY LIKE KATE

This Black Ties promo was created exclusively for my Behance Livestream audience to promote the upcoming FAB 4 Music Festival in Simsbury, CT. Animated track mattes created a variety of effects reveals, while following an overall motif. This went through several animation tests and revisions before completion.​​ This recorded performance was filmed and edited by me.​​​​​

I waited until I could surprise The Black Ties in person. My first test with Adobe Fresco. The program wasn't designed for rotoscope animation, but I was DETERMINED. 😉💙🎶🎥🎨

SOCIAL MEDIA PRODUCER

Beginning in February 2019, I became a Social Media Producer for The Black Ties, creating short promo films and still photography for events promotion on their social media channels. "Satisfaction" was my first film as Social Media Producer. "Make Up Your Mind" features an original song intertwined with sound-to-color synesthesia animation.

"HERE, THERE, & EVERYWHERE" DOCUMENTARY SEGMENT

Beginning in June 2019, I was asked by film director Simon Weitzman to film and arrange a segment featuring The Black Ties for the documentary Here, There, And Everywhere. This involved the recording of band interaction, music performances, and artistic perspectives from each band member. The creation of the segment involved filming, editing, color correction, film compositing, audio synchronization, and sound mixing to properly match the overall quality of the documentary. 

DRUM HEAD DESIGN

Beginning in December 2019, The Black Ties requested I develop a custom drum head with a variation of my logo design for the band. Custom option had to withstand indoor and outdoor performances. The Black Ties wanted their design to be reminiscent of “Ludwig, The Beatles” in style arrangement, but match the Gretsch drum kit. I researched materials and custom options to ensure the integrity of the sound while fulfilling the band’s design request. Special Thanks to Printed Pixel, Gretsch Drums, and Sound Mural for help in research and development for The Black Ties custom drum head.
